ABOUT THE MACHINES CRASHING

Message from organization for teams:

Even with the experience gained by the organization in the first 2 Round in the last round (the third one), some problems with the computers occurred. We would like to inform for everyone that the problems regarding the machines have no solution within our reach, and due this fact, we have performed precautionary measures, as always, checking the machines before each Round and computer’s use will be rotational. With the help of Professor Nakano, that was present at the last round we detected a practice that may have contributed to the occurrence of crashes. Everyone who uses some kind of IDE, like Eclipse or Netbeans, when performing your tests, should end the running process before starting another one. If they don`t, there may be an accumulation of processes running, and this, along with some failure in the program (such as an infinite loop, for example), may result in filling the memory, making the machine slower and, in extreme cases, making it crash. To end a running process, click on the following buttons:

ATTENTION TO ROUND 2!

Message from organization for teams:

We ask that, in the next rounds, the contestants arrive 10 minutes earlier and meet their respective teams to enter the labs… LabS? Yes, in the next rounds we will be held at the labs 6 and 7. Teams will be distributed equally to ensure improved comfort and accommodation.

On the second round, the organizers will guide the teams to their specific lab. Remember: computer’s use will be rotational, so that the teams do not use the same computer during different rounds.
